What’s PDPA? |
PDPA is a personal data protection law that protects the storage, use and disclosure of personal data, both directly and indirectly, in accordance with the purpose and with the consent of the personal data subject. |
What’s personal data? |
Personal data refers to basic data sets such as name, age, gender, date of birth, address or other information, which covers sensitive information such as race, ethnicity, political opinions, trade union membership, gender expression, genetic information, etc. In principle, such data cannot be processed unless permitted by law, i.e. with data subject's express consent, it is a necessity to comply with the law, or for public interest. |
Can FINN MOBILE disclose your personal data? |
FINN MOBILE has no policy to disclose personal information of customers to third parties, unless it is done to comply with the terms of the service agreement. The law allows FINN MOBILE to disclose customer information in the following cases:

Prior to the enforcement of this Personal Data Protection Act, how does FINN MOBILE take care of personal data of customers? |
FINN MOBILE has always strictly implemented measures and practices to take care of personal data of customers and employees. FINN MOBILE has no policy to disclose personal data to third parties. The request for customer’s data may only be done by the owner of the number, which requires authentication, or it may be done only to provide customer data to government agencies that have the power to request data under the law. |
Do other mobile network operators ask for customer permission to collect, process, analyze, use and disclose personal data like FINN MOBILE? |
All mobile operators are required to obtain customer’s permission to collect, process, analyze, use and disclose personal data in order to comply with the Personal Data Protection Act. |
Can you refuse to let FINN MOBILE collect, use and disclose your personal data, if you don't want to? |
If it is a basic service under FINN MOBILE's telecommunication business, it is necessary to collect, use and disclosure as required by law in order for customers to receive benefits according to the main agreement when using FINN MOBILE services. In terms of other additional services such as games, fortune telling, or additional services that customers are interested in, FINN MOBILE will ask for customer’s consent before processing customer's data for the service. If customer does not give the consent, the service will not be available and customer will not be able to use the service. However, customer can still receive the main service as usual. |
In the event that another company, such as insurance company, calls or sends SMS, is it caused by FINN MOBILE providing them with the information? |
FINN MOBILE emphasizes importance to and protects customer’s personal data where FINN MOBILE has no policy of disseminating personal data to third parties. The reason for such event might be other channels that customers have provided their contact information for services, purchasing products, applying for memberships, including using websites that require personal information to use the service, etc. In the event that you do not want to be contacted or want to cancel news subscription, you may notify that service provider directly. |
